Even after 40 years of observing experience, I thoroughly enjoyed the total lunar eclipse Sunday night. Perfect weather, too. My Nikon camera, which is not particularly fitted for astrophotography, did not cooperate so well, unfortunately, and needed a charge just after the beginning of totality.
The photos below begin about 7:45 pm (central time) - just after penumbral contact, through to around mid-eclipse, picking up again as the partial eclipse was ending about 11:25 pm.
